Restorative Process: Trust-Based Conflict Work

“Conflicts should not be allowed to wither; they should be used. And they should be used in ways that become useful for those who were originally involved in the conflict.”
— Nils Christie, also known as “the father of the Mediation Service”

Restorative processes are about trusting that the parties themselves can resolve their conflicts. In this workshop, you’ll get a “three‑in‑one” experience you don’t want to miss:

  • You’ll get to know the National Mediation Service  (Konfliktrådet), a unique public service that assists several thousand parties in conflict every year.
  • You’ll receive an introduction to its values and methods.
  • You’ll meet employees from a school and a youth club who collaborate with the Mediation and Reconciliation Service in a local project aimed at strengthening the use of restorative processes in preventive work.

The workshop combines presentations, practical exercises, and dialogue among participants.
Perhaps we’ll even plant a few seeds for future collaboration?
